There is incredible, cutting-edge therapies for helping prevent tau tangles.

Listen to this quote from Lawrence Golbe, MD:

“An unusual sugar called N-acetyl glucosamine normally attaches to the tau protein in our brains and inhibits the tendency of tau to misfold and aggregate under certain stresses.”

Hmmm… that is interesting!!!

My thoughts – what if this could be used to prevent the tau problems?

Dr. Golbe continues in describing that there are two medications currently being tested in mouse trials and that treatment looks promising.

I know from my years of working with autistic children that NAG/NAC was one of the therapies used and found helpful.

It would be very interesting to see the results of this treatment on tau neurogenerative diseases.
